Bulent Celebi founded his first company focused on industrial networking while pursuing his EE/CS degree at UC Berkeley. With decades of experience in Silicon Valley's semiconductor industry, Bulent has been at the forefront of driving numerous innovations. As the CEO of Ubicom, he introduced the world’s first chip enabling Internet connectivity for any electronic device, earning recognition as a “Top 10 Innovator” by Red Herring in 2002.
In 2004, Bulent founded AirTies in Istanbul, revolutionizing home Wi-Fi with mesh networking technology. Under his leadership, AirTies became a global leader in Wi-Fi Mesh, serving major service providers such as AT&T, Sky, Vodafone, and Deutsche Telekom. AirTies was recognized by Red Herring as a Global Top 100 Innovator in 2016 and 2017, and was acquired by Providence Equity in 2022.
